Go Steelers!

Thanks Uncle Chris and Uncle Kenny! I love my Steelers garb! When I put on my Jersey the boys suddenly scored 18 points, but then I HAD to go to bed. WhenI woke up they next morning I learned they lost! Daddy said I am a good luck charm. I wish mommy would have let me stay up to watch the rest of the game. I tried to tell her I was crying because I was happy but mommy can be sooooo stubborn.

Whoa! I love to travel. I flew in my first airplane, loved it. My daddy is from Pittsburgh, so we went there for Christmas. We spent ten days there. It was so much fun. I met so many wonderful people and did lots of fun stuff. Mommy and daddy went and surprised Uncle Chris at work and then they went to the Andy Warhol museum. They talked about their experience for a long time because they both loved some crazy artist guy that made giants. While mommy and daddy were away, grandma and I had so much fun. We sang, and I worked real hard on crawling. Grandma is so patient. When mommy and daddy came home they played their Wii. That was mommy's early Christmas present from daddy. They love the Wii.

Grandma had a big dinner at her house on Christmas Eve. There were 17 people there. It was exciting! Daddy fed me his mashed potatoes that Aunt Cathy made. They were delicious. And when no one was looking, I tried a little of this and a little of that. That was my first time eating adult food. I was surprised when mommy let daddy feed me food other then the kind that comes in the plastic containers. She usually tells everyone, "No" when they ask if I can have something, but she let daddy feed me whatever he wanted to feed me. I think I ate some stuffing, too. Later Santa came. I liked his candy Canes.
Pappy got a digital camera Christmas morning! He took most of the pictures from then on out. Mommy doesn't have very many pictures of me on Christmas morning. But pappy does, over 50! My first Christmas was a success. It was fun and I got so many nice presents. I got my very own basketball hoop. It happens to be in the shape of a tiger. I am working on shooting hoops. I've scored a couple of points. Yeah, I'm a pro. I hung out with Pappy's sister and her family the day after Christmas. Again daddy has the nicest family. Everyone is wonderful and so nice. I met my cousin and her daughters. They are 2 years old and 5 months old.
Daddy and Uncle Chris fried a turkey for Christmas Dinner. It was tasty!
Later in the week a bunch of us went to Carnegie History Museum. We saw these giant lizards...huge...as big as a house. I hope I never run into one of those in real life. For some reason they were very still. Maybe they were hoping we would not notice them. Mommy and I looked at some quilts there too. Mommy said that she was going to finish her quilts one of these days. Mommy and daddy went to Clarion University. That is were daddy went to college. They ate at a cafe there. Daddy told mommy all kinds of stories. Daddy said he had to protect me from guys like him and his friends.

Daddy is so silly; I think he is a great guy. And I like daddy's friends too. Daddy's friend Scott had a get together. It was very nice. Daddy got to catch up and hang out. Mommy forgot her camera, but she does have a picture with all of daddy's friends in it. Daddy always tells mommy stories about daddy's friends. Mommy says I have to wear earmuffs when he tells those stories and I am in the room. I don't know why. It is not cold.

It was sadly; finally time to go and we packed up the car and drove home. It only took 11 hours. I slept through most of that. So did Igloo and Q ball.

15 days until Christmas!

Mommy and Daddy went to their Christmas Party! It was their first time going out at night without me! I had fun at my babysitters house. Mommy and Daddy teach at the same school with daddy's best friend Keith. That's Lisa, mommy says Lisa knows more about football then any guy. I think the boys are jealous.
I love to make mommy laugh. I just start laughing and she starts to laugh! We go on and on.
Grandma D got me my very own Christmas Tree. It even has an angel theme. I am going to start to collect angel and fairy ornaments for my tree.

Uncle Keith and Aunt Lisa came over and brought me a funny pink pig. I told uncle Keith stories most of the night.

Mommy tried to convince Daddy that they needed a family picture for their Christmas Card but Daddy wasn't having it. So instead mommy got my Godmother Anna to come over and she was happy to play dress up for the camera. Mommy hasn't quite figured out the timer. Sometimes it takes one picture...sometimes it takes 3. Oh well, I can't possibly be still for pictures. Whose got time.
That's me behind daddy!

I am 6 months old today!

I sat up all by myself today. I thought I would wait until my six month birthday. It was a little present for my mommy. We laughed about it for several minutes.
Grandma rocked me to sleep every night while we were at her house. She sang me a song about a goose and a feather bed. She used to sing that song to her very own kids when they were little.
This is Sammy. He taught me how to sit up all by myself. His mommy and my mommy have known each other since the eighth grade. They are truly old friends who have been through a lot together. Mommy is always telling funny stories about her adventures with Sammy's mom. Sammy and I are two months apart.
These are my friends Madalin and Haven. Madalin is a dancer and an artist and Haven is sweet and very thoughtful. We played together while mommy caught up with her best friend in Greenville. They have a little brother, Ezra. Ezra would not leave my daddy's side.
Ezra missed being able to sit in backwards car seats, and his binkie. He and my daddy talked about golf clubs and putters. Ezra really does love golf.
While we were in Greenville, mommy wanted to see all of the leaves, she said they are not as pretty in Charleston. Mommy loves Autumn.
My mommy loves my daddy so much. Sometimes, when he is not paying attention mommy takes pictures of him. Mommy thought daddy looked deep in thought here, not to mention handsome and she wanted to capture the moment.

My First Christmas in November!

Grandma put this tree up so that we could celebrate Christmas in November

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gobble, Gobble. My very first Thanksgiving! I am so thankful that Grandma is such a good cook. My mommy ate so much and it was good. I sat at dinner table and joined in all of the conversation. I am saying Da-da now and boy it gets them every time. If I am feeling the need for a little attention all I have to do is say da-da and someone comes running. But most interesting, is every time I say da-da it is usually daddy that comes to play with me. I wonder if there is a connection. I do love my daddy so much, and he loves me.
I am going to Pittsburgh for Christmas so, my grandma decided to have my Christmas on Thanksgiving. I got to open my presents with no help, well mommy helped a little, but only after I tried to eat the wrapping paper. I couldn't resist. It was red! I am so fortunate. I am so loved. Grandma gave me two warm dresses for a Christmas in Pittsburgh and some toys that light up and play songs. She is so sweet. My Aunt Vickie, gave me a rocking chair that was hers when she was little and then later it was my mommy's when she was little. My Aunt Vickie, we call her Sissy, saved it all this time for me. She said I have to give it to my little girl. She put a fresh coat of paint on it. There is one piece of the chair that is broken and it was fixed over 40 years ago with duct tape. Sissy left that there to add character. Mommy said there is a picture of her sitting in that chair. She cried a little bit. Sissy really is very thoughtful and sweet.
Daddy, who I think might be da-da took this picture. My mommy was very surprised to see this chair.

My 6th month!

Hi. I have been so busy this past month and I am changing so fast. The weather is getting chilly. Mommy says her favorite season is finally here. She likes to dress me up in these hoodies and then go for walks to look at the leaves.

My Grandma came to visit. She brought her doggy Max. She played with me while mommy and daddy went to an Elton John concert. The next night all of us went to an oyster roast. Mommy and daddy showed me a comet in the sky, and I watched the big fire in the middle of the yard.

Max is my new friend. When he is at my very own house, he doesn't let my dogs near me. He has a fluffy tail that I like to grab. Max doesn't like that very much.

Boy, I thought I'd play a joke on my mommy and not move my left arm for a day. My first time mommy took me to the ER where they thought I needed this big ol cast on my arm even though the three x-rays showed nothing wrong. As soon as I mustered up some strength to move my arm I tried to show mommy that I could move it just fine, but I still had to see another doctor whom after three more x-rays said she couldn't see anything wrong either! I'll never try that trick again.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I was A Little Stinker. Halloween was fun. Mommy, Daady and I went to Ms. Yvonne's house and we had a block party candy buffet. I saw faries, snow white, batman, nurses, dragons, and leopard girl. This week I am learning how to eat solids. So far so good. I love solids. It's kindof hard to eat them, but I am getting the hang of it! Mommy is making my food. She is learning how to manage her time. We haven't really gotten into a routine yet, but I just don't think mommy and routines go together to well, infact it gets really crazy around 5:30! Watching her is really entertaining. Daddy thinks my food is an airplane and I am a hanger. I just go with it. It makes him laugh. Acutally, he is the funny one. He makes all these funny noises and loopty loops the spoon. It cracks me up. He is so silly. In the meantime, I am working on sitting up by myself. Mommy introduced me to two of her favorite friends, John and Kelly. They surprised her and stopped by one afternoon. They double kissed me the whole time. It was really fun.
