Week Four Pittsburgh

Wow. What a fun week. This week my mommy, daddy, Igloo, Q-ball and me all went to Pittsburgh. We drove! The ride only took 12 or so hours. I slept most of the time in the car, and woke up to eat from this strange thing that mommy stuck in my mouth. I liked it though...I did not have to work so hard to get my grub. When we finally got to grandma's house, there were lots of people there. That's when I met my Grandpa for the first time. My daddy said our meeting was the pinnacle of his life. It all seemed very special. Grandpa smiles all the time and looks like daddy but older. Grandpa is always happy and makes me smile too. He loves to take pictures.
I met so many wonderful people on my first vacation, including my uncle Chris. He is funny and no matter where he is in the house I can hear him. His voice makes me smile. He sounds like daddy. He teaches me how to rest on my tummy.
Every day was packed full of activity. I felt like a little rock star.
I have been learning everyday and everyone tells me I am going to be real smart. I love to be held by anyone if they'll make those funny noises. I love to copy faces. I am working on sticking out my tongue and smiling.
I took my first sink bath this week. It was full of bubbles...I love to take baths.

Week Three

I just met Grandma Pfeiffer! She is wonderful. She loves to hold me. She tells me stories and sings to me. I can tell that I make her giggle and smile. We have fun looking at each other and rocking in the rocking chair. Grandma Pfeiffer is going to teach me how to shop. I don't know what that is, but boy does she make it sound fun.
Daddy is great. He gives me baths, tells me stories, sings to me, and reads to me. He loves to hold me while we watch TV.
Mommy is tired a lot. But when I wake her up at two or three in the morning, we go into my room and rock while I eat. We look at each other and I always fall right back to sleep. I think mommy really loves me.

Week Two

I love my aunt and my grandmother very much. They have helped momy so much. I have been eating every 45 minutes, then I take a nap. Eating can take a lot out of ya. Things are still a little fuzzy and I can't quite make out images, but I love bright colors and faces. My favorite part of the day is when mommy wraps me up tight in my blanket and then lets someone hold me close to their heart.
There are two family members that I am quite fond of, they like to lick my face and hands. They don't look like the rest of the family, but they are interesting to look at, being black and white and all.
I keep hearing about Grandma and Grandpa Pfeiffer, I can't wait to meet them. They'll be here soon.

Week One

I have my very own bedroom. But I don't sleep in it. I get to sleep in a basket in Mommy and Daddy's room. It's warm and cozy. My mommy doesn't move very fast. She and I have been getting to know each other. I hardly ever cry. All of my needs are met, but not just by mommy. My grandma Roz and a whole bunch of other people help mommy. They are always talking to me and making funny noises. In fact, this week lots of people came over to look at me and they all make these strange, interesting noises. I learned that if I make them back, they get all excited. It is fun to make them all excited. I have been having some problems eating. My tongue is a little tight and I have to work hard at the dinner table,
but nonetheless I eat and eat and eat. I wonder where it all goes?

Upon my arrival.

Hello. My name is Isabella. I was born on May 24th, 2007. I don't really remember much about that day, except that all of a sudden I was forced from my dark warm home into this funny world. I was picked up like a fish, smacked all around and then thrown into warm comforting arms, where I was allowed to eat for a few minutes. After that, it all gets kindof fuzzy, or maybe that was the stuff they put in my eyes. I remember my daddy holding me. He was very warm and smelled really good. He smiled and talked softly to me. My mommy held me some more, she and I stared at each other for awhile. I was really curious to put a face with the person I heard and felt everyday for the past 9 months. Then I met lots of other people. I felt so lucky to have so many people welcome me. They were all pretty silly, they would pick me up, and start making funny noises. I made noises I did not know I could make. All in all it was a very eventful day.
